I’m excited to announce that I will represent MSU Federal Credit Union for this year’s Pancake Palooza as a Star Server.

I was born and raised in Detroit, MI. My adolescence was full of strife and life-changing experiences. I experienced homelessness at a young age, my parents had mental health issues, and navigating a world where people of my sexual orientation weren’t accepted while still coming to terms with it myself.

Through these experiences, I have learned to always be kind, empathetic, and advocate for the underdog. Barack Obama said “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” That quote has become a north star in my life and emphasizes the ability to be a changemaker.

I get the opportunity every day to be a changemaker in the communities that MSUFCU serves. MSUFCU has a passion and commitment to the community that is different than many other financial institutions. It feels personal and necessary much this opportunity to be a Star Server.
